The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it's alarmed with regards to the significant amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior range of clients/beneficiaries read more to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The services issue established for intervention activities a substantial influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to enable the servicing of all prospects and raise entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
